Girassol (also spelled Girasol Quartz) is a gentle crystal known for its soft glow and ethereal appearance. Often mistaken for milky quartz or opalized stones, girasol is a unique variety of quartz that exhibits a subtle internal glow—a phenomenon known as “opalescence” or “girassol effect.” Its name comes from the Spanish and Portuguese word “girasol,” meaning “sunflower” and “turning toward the sun”.
