Albite is a lesser-known but fascinating member of the feldspar mineral group, known for its shimmering, glassy appearance and often delicate white, cream, or bluish hues. Albite is one material that is often seen as the matrix for Tourmaline formations.

Origin: Bahia – Brazil and Northern region of Brazil

Chemical Formula: NaAlSi₃O₈ (Sodium Aluminum Silicate)

Color: White, bluish-white, greenish, gray, or colorless

Hardness: 6–6.5 on the Mohs scale

Crystal System: Triclinic
