Carnelian is a warm, fiery gemstone known for its deep orange to reddish-brown hues and its long history of use in art, jewelry, and spiritual practices. It’s a variety of chalcedony agate, which is a microcrystalline quartz, and its vibrant color comes from iron oxide impurities.
