Origin: Bahia and Tocantins – Brazil
Chemical Formula: A complex series including KAlSi₃O₈ (orthoclase), NaAlSi₃O₈ (albite), and CaAl₂Si₂O₈ (anorthite)
Color: White, gray, pink, tan, green, or iridescent (depending on the variety)
Hardness: 6–6.5 on the Mohs scale
Trigonal: Triclinic or monoclinic
